Back at the end of July, I was able to expand my hours to the daytime on Mondays as well as Thursday afternoons and every Friday. After many years of working for the State of Maryland's child welfare system, I have now expanded my practice to full-time in order to meet with the needs of my clients and the busy schedules that we all have.
I'm leaving the child welfare system with a lot of wonderful memories and years of experience that allow me to really get down to it when it comes to those I get to work with here.

In my time in the child welfare system, I was lucky enough to work with a huge range of a population. Everything that you can imagine, from inner city kids who may have been on the path to a not-so-bright future before I met them to business owners in suburbia to the farm worker who is just trying to get by in rural Maryland. Sure, I learned a lot in my undergrad and graduate programs, but there are some things that you can't learn in a textbook. I learned what life was like, not just based on a case file or record, but in the homes, in the schools, at their jobs.
In my years working in child welfare, I'd seen almost everything that there was to see. A lot of incredible successes coming from people who have experienced some pretty unspeakable things. We worked together to get life where it needed to be, or at least on the right track, and I couldn't be more thankful for that experience. I use it every minute of every day with every client here at my practice, and those clients reap the rewards of having a therapist who doesn't just know how to diagnose it; he knows what it's like. The best thing that I can hear from a person I'm working with is, "Wow, you really do get it," and I hear that a lot. That would never happen without my experience with child welfare, and I'll forever be thankful for it.
So, yeah, clicked on this because the title said that you had new hours
Oh, yes, thank you! I could've gone on forever (as my wife would tell you).
Because I'm now working at my practice full-time, I'm able to meet a pretty high demand of having daytime hours in addition to my evening hours. From here on out, my hours are:
Monday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Thursday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Of course, hours can be flexible, and my e-mails have been known to have a much later/earlier time stamp than those you see above.
These new hours allow me to work with you when it works for you, and I can't wait to get started.
Remember: Nobody said that it would be easy, but nobody said that you had to do it alone.
